Rev. Jerry O. Richards, Senior Pastor

August 1998 - present

Jerry met Esther (McClain) while they were students at Bethany Nazarene College (now Southern Nazarene University) in Bethany, Oklahoma and they married in March 1967. The Richards’ have four sons:

Jeff is married to Michelle (Romero) and they have three sons: Jacob, Joshua and  Jose; and one daughter, Marissa.

Jay is married to Lisa (Wall) and they have two daughters: Tiffani and Tori.

Jerrod is married to Kari (Asbill) and they have three sons: Jordan, Kenton and Lawson; and one daughter, Kaylea. 

Jonathan is married to Kristine (Siemens) and they have one daughter: Autumn Rose; and one son, Nolan.

All of their children and grandchildren live in the Kansas City area, with the exception of Jonathan and family who live on Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado, in the Denver area.

Jerry began his ministry in August 1967 and has been pastor of Nazarene churches in Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas and Kansas and now in Iowa, coming to Marshalltown in July 1998. As a native Iowan, having grown up in Burlington, Jerry states it is good to be “back home.”
